September 2018 - Present
Co-lead a team of five UX Designers supporting the Second Century Enterprise Systems - Management of Manufacturing (MOM) project. Partnered with leadership to define UX strategy for the project, including a plan to tackle the design debt. Defined and set UX and UI standards for the several products in MOM. Provided support across several agile teams to ensure designs were meeting business and user goals. Partnered with stakeholders and product owners to ensure the solution was in line with both business needs and the user’s needs.
Grew my team from 2 designers to 5, with plans to hire additional UX Designers. Created and defined a set process on how to hire UX Designers, including a portfolio review, design challenge, and score sheets. Documented the process, so that the rest of Product Systems can rely on it.
Worked with senior designers in Product Systems on an information session to educate the organization on what UX is, the value it brings, and how to apply the user-centered design process in their own projects. Presented the presentation at several sessions, answering questions that came up along the way. Used the same framework to educate my business partners and stakeholders on what a UX Designer does, so that we had a mutual understanding of our roles and responsibilities.
January 2018 - June 2018
Conducted a “blue sky”/usability redesign on the Report Center in TraxSolutions by applying the user-centered design process. Worked with sponsor to identify users, and conducted user interviews with real users of the product. Identified business needs and constraints, and designed the solution around them. Iterated on the design by conducting usability tests with the users we had interviewed previously. The final project was presented at an open house where it won People’s Choice.
June 2017 - September 2017
Designed a web-based analytics dashboard for providers to access their data from FamilyCare Inc. Interviewed target users of the dashboard, taking into account their needs and current frustrations in my design. Presented my work to the Board of Directors and executives from the surrounding hospitals and health organizations.
